Description

Amaryl 2 mg is a prescription medicine containing Glimepiride 2 mg, which is used for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus when diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes alone are not sufficient to control blood sugar levels. It belongs to the sulfonylurea group of antidiabetic medicines.

Glimepiride works by stimulating the beta cells of the pancreas to produce and release more insulin, helping lower blood glucose levels. Better blood sugar control reduces the risk of diabetes-related complications such as kidney disease, nerve damage, vision problems, and cardiovascular disorders.
