Glinil-M Tablet is a combination oral antidiabetic medication used for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes when diet, exercise, and single medicines are not sufficient to control blood glucose levels.
Mechanism of Action:
- Glimepiride belongs to the sulfonylurea group. It stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, which helps lower blood sugar.
- Metformin belongs to the biguanide group. It decreases glucose production by the liver and improves the body’s sensitivity to insulin, allowing better glucose utilization.
