Description
Telmistong AM Tablet is an antihypertensive medication containing Telmisartan and Amlodipine. It is prescribed for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with a single medicine. The combination works through two different mechanisms to provide better blood pressure control.
Mechanism of Action:
- Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessel narrowing. This leads to relaxation of blood vessels and reduction in blood pressure.
- Amlodipine blocks calcium entry into blood vessel muscles, causing blood vessels to widen and allowing blood to flow more easily.
