Maxzocin 5 XL contains Prazosin 5 mg (Extended Release), an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker used mainly to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It relaxes blood vessels and the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, improving blood flow and making urination easier.

Mechanism of Action
Prazosin blocks alpha-1 receptors, causing relaxation of blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure. It also relaxes the smooth muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow in men with BPH.
