Description

1. Introduction

Pantocid L is a gastrointestinal medicine commonly prescribed for treating acid-related disorders of the stomach. It is particularly useful in conditions where excess acid production and slow gastric motility cause symptoms like heartburn, acidity, nausea, and bloating.

2. Composition

Pantocid L contains two main drugs:

1. Pantoprazole

   • Belongs to the proton pump inhibitor (PPI) class.

   • It blocks the proton pump (H⁺/K⁺ ATPase) in stomach cells, reducing acid secretion.

2. Levosulpiride

   • A prokinetic agent.

   • Increases stomach and intestinal movement, helping food pass smoothly through the digestive tract.
